Welcome to Jinx! By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Jinx, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

2. Description of Service

Jinx is an entertainment platform that allows users to compete in daily fantasy tournaments for live esports streamers using virtual currency ("Credits").

Credits:

  • Have no real-world monetary value
  • Cannot be purchased with real money
  • Cannot be exchanged for cash
  • Are provided free: 100 Credits upon account creation
  • Weekly Bonus: All users receive 100 bonus Credits every Monday
  • Are used to enter skill-based fantasy tournaments

3. Eligibility

To use Jinx, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Provide a valid email address and phone number for verification
  • Not be prohibited from using the service under applicable laws
  • Agree to receive transactional emails (prize notifications, account security)

To be eligible for prizes, you must meet additional requirements. See our Official Rules for complete prize eligibility criteria.

4. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the security of your account
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Providing accurate account information
  • Verifying your email address and phone number
  • Notifying us of any unauthorized access
  • Responding to prize notification emails within 48 hours if you win

5. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Create multiple accounts or farm accounts for prizes
  • Use bots, scripts, or automated methods to enter tournaments
  • Collude with other users to manipulate results
  • Exploit bugs, vulnerabilities, or glitches
  • Share account credentials with others
  • Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
  • Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity
  • Attempt to circumvent prize eligibility restrictions
  • Use VPNs or proxies to falsify your location
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations

6. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of Jinx are owned by 1532863 B.C. Ltd. and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission.

6.5 Prize Acceptance

By participating in tournaments with prize pools, you agree that:

  • Prizes are awarded solely as Amazon.com gift cards (or regional equivalent)
  • Prizes cannot be redeemed for cash or alternative payment methods
  • You must respond to prize notifications within 48 hours to claim
  • You must verify prize eligibility (age, location) to receive prizes
  • Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value
  • Tax liability for prizes is your sole responsibility
  • Failure to accept Amazon gift card format results in prize forfeiture

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases immediately.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE:

  • Uninterrupted or error-free service
  • Accuracy of streamer data or live statistics
  • Availability of specific features or tournaments
  • Accuracy of leaderboard calculations (we make best efforts but errors may occur)
  • Prize availability or delivery timelines

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, JINX AND ITS AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

10. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of British Columbia.

13. Communications

By creating an account, you consent to receive emails from Jinx, including:

  • Transactional emails (required): Prize notifications, account security, weekly reset notifications
  • Promotional emails (optional): Platform updates, new features, special offers

You may unsubscribe from promotional emails but must remain subscribed to transactional emails while your account is active. Prize notifications cannot be opted out of if you participate in prize-eligible tournaments.
